FAQ

WHAT SKIN-TYPE AM I, ANYWAY?

When shopping for effective skin care products, it is important to understand your skin, and what "type" it is. If you’re not sure about your skin type, try this simple test:

1 ] Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and rinse it thoroughly, splashing with lukewarm water at least 12 times. Do not apply anything else to your skin.

2 ] Take a piece of basic blotting paper and cut it into four one-inch squares.

3 ] After letting your skin relax for about 3 hours, apply the papers to your chin, nose, cheek and forehead, holding each in place for about 10 seconds.

4 ] Examine each piece of paper under a good light and note the results.

If the papers are dry or free of oily residue, your skin type is "dry".

If the papers show only a trace of oily residue, your skin type is "normal".

If the papers show a clear, oily residue, your skin type is"oily".

If more than one of the papers from your chin, nose and forehead have oily residue and the cheek paper is dry, you have "combination" skin.

Why are the eyes the first place to age?
Respect your eyes! Remember it is essential to moisturize and treat this very sensitive area of the face. It is one of the first places to show aging because the under eye skin secretes no necessary oils on its own. In addition, squinting, smiling, frowning, and the thousands of other facial expressions we make with our eyes play a factor as well. So what can you do? You need to use an eye cream with anti-oxidants and Vitamin E to infuse the delicate eye area with these essential nutrients to keep them young and vibrant looking.

What's Making You Blush About Rosacea?
It's a fairly common chronic skin disorder that approximately one in twenty Americans suffer from and many don't even realize they have it. It's called rosacea.
Rosacea most commonly afflicts adults between the ages of 30 and 60, although even children have been reported to have the disorder. Men and women are equally likely to be affected, and experts believe there is genetic aspect to the disease. There is also a common belief that people of Irish or Northern European descent are more likely to be affected, though some studies have not necessarily supported this.
The inflammation of rosacea can look a great deal like acne, but it tends to be more chronic. The beginnings of rosacea usually appears with frequent flushing of the face, particularly the nose and cheeks. This flushing is sometimes accompanied by a persistent burning sensation.
Rosacea most commonly affects the forehead, nose, cheekbones and chin areas. Capillaries on the skin's surface become dilated, resulting in blotchy red areas with small bumps, and sometimes pimples. The redness may come and go, but eventually may become permanent. The skin tissue can swell and thicken, and may be tender and sensitive to the touch.
Some of the things you should avoid if you've been diagnosed with rosacea are alcohol, hot liquids, spicy foods, sunlight, temperature extremes and the use of skin care products and makeup containing alcohol.
If you believe that you have rosacea, the first thing to do is to see your dermatologist. In general, the treatment is aimed at the control of redness, inflammation, and skin eruptions. Treatment is necessary to prevent permanent damage. In many cases, a dermatologist will prescribe both oral and topical treatments.

The Latest Weapon in the Arsenal Against Aging
Researchers now know that the lines and wrinkles in our skin are the result of much more than just age and genetics! No matter what our age, or how good our mother's skin was-Every day each one of us is exposed to environmental effects that cause the release of free radicals in our skin. These environmental effects, including sunlight, cigarette smoke and pollutionand food are more often than not unavoidable by even the most diligent among us. The free radicals attack our skin's collagen layer, breaking it down and causing lines and wrinkles to appear. This assault of environmental effects on our precious skin is collectively called "photo-aging". What can we do to help stop photo aging from sucking the life and youth out of our skin? We can fight back with proactive skin care that incorporates the latest research and technological advances in the battle against aging.
Recent clinical evidence shows that the regular application of antioxidants can help to prevent the process of photo aging in the skin! Exactly what ARE antioxidants, and how can you incorporate them into your daily skincare regimen? Antioxidants are molecules that can neutralize harmful free radicals-One of the most widely recognized is Vitamin C. In our skin, free radicals impair the production of collagen and accelerate the signs of aging. In addition to sunlight, smoke, and pollution, improper nutrition, illness, and high physical stress can also compromise your body's ability to keep free radicals from damaging the collagen-producing cell structures in your skin. The results of this damage are varied, and build over time.
We have all heard of taking Vitamin C to fight a cold, but its anti-aging properties when applied directly to the skin are a relatively new scientific development. Recent clinical evidence has shown that applying Vitamin C to the skin can actively provide antioxidant protection, prevent photo aging and stimulate the production of collagen.

The Power of H2O. Are you getting enough?
You’ve heard it a million times before…drink lots of water! Experts say that when it comes to your skin, you simply can’t get enough. Healthy skin requires a lot of TLC, and that includes detoxification and replenishment. Because your skin is exposed to all kinds of environmental toxins on a daily basis, it’s important to drink plenty of water to help flush them out. Detoxification renews your cells, stimulating regeneration and preventing the signs of aging. It also speeds up the elimination of waste products, and stimulates the growth and repair during a cell’s life cycle.

Remember---your skin knows---and shows when you don’t detoxify and nourish your system. In addition to drinking at least eight glasses of water a day, a proper diet, exercise, and the right amount of sleep are also vital components of healthy and beautiful skin. Hydration should be your focus--not necessarily bombarding the skin with oil-rich creams, but keeping it moist and hydrated from the inside-out. This includes using vitamin-rich formulas, exfoliating the skin to get rid of dead skin cells, and, once again, drinking plenty of water.

So to recap, this colorless, odorless, tasteless substance that occupies about ¾ of the world’s surface, is one of the most important things you can put in your body to make your skin look fabulous. It hydrates, detoxifies, and nourishes the skin. I know---water isn’t the most exciting thing to drink eight times a day. Try “spicing” it up with a little lemon or lime as you drink to the health and beauty of your skin!

Look and feel better for your health … Eat right and exercise.
A healthy diet and plenty of exercise. Easier said than done, right? Although it can be difficult to get motivated, it will definitely be worth it once your hard work starts paying off. You’ll look and feel better—and maybe even wonder how you ever managed without your trip to the gym three times a week.

Once you’ve decided to change your unhealthy lifestyle, it’s important to have a good support network of friends and family. These are people who will encourage you, help you stay dedicated through the tough times, and basically act as your diet and fitness cheerleaders. Remember—there will be difficult times when you just feel like just giving up. That’s where your support team can really step in and make a difference.

Identify unhealthy eating triggers and look for healthy alternatives. When are you most vulnerable to raiding the refrigerator? Make sure you have something else to do that doesn’t involve eating during those times you are most likely to cheat.

Drink plenty of water. There are so many benefits to drinking a lot of water. Among them, it makes your skin look better, helps you flush out the impurities in your system, and keeps your body hydrated.

Quit smoking! Smoking is not only bad for your lungs, but it’s also terrible for your skin. Just look around---It doesn’t take long to identify the smokers in a room. It doesn’t help your exercise regime either. Ever tried to jog a mile or walk up a few flights of stairs after smoking a pack of cigarettes?

Go shopping! Out with the old and in with the new. Replace cookies and chips with healthy alternatives that can also taste great. Fruits and veggies are great substitutes for fattening junk food. Remember—it’s a good idea to cut down on saturated fats, salt, and the amount of alcohol you drink.

Exercise! Not only will it make you look better, but experts say it makes you feel better by releasing endorphins (the chemicals in your body that make you feel good) into the body. If you don’t think you have the wherewithal to start your own fitness regime, head to your local gym and get advice from the experts. If you can afford a personal trainer, you may want to explore that route. If not, most exercise facilities can help you get started with a cardio and weight program that’s right for your body and your individual needs.

Set goals! You want to set realistic and attainable goals, but you also want to set goals that will help you see a difference. And remember—if you fall off the proverbial wagon, just get back on and keep going.

Is Television Destroying Your Diet?

Cheer Up For Your Health and Wealth!
It's all in the Attitude…..
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse! Your car breaks down. Your three year old uses your new wallpaper as a coloring book. You discover two new wrinkles. All of this BEFORE 9am!!
But before you crawl back into bed and drown yourself in self-pity, the results of some recent studies may put a smile on your face. They find what many psychologists have long been saying: Being optimistic is good for your health! According to a new report in Epidemiology, stressed-out pessimists may be almost four times more likely than optimists to get colds. Although numerous studies have shown that stress can impair your immune system, this study shows it's not just experiencing stress that matters, it's also about you handle stress.
Another study from the University of Kentucky of 678 elderly nuns found that those who had expressed more positive emotions while in their twenties, lived as much as a decade longer than those who had expressed largely negative feelings.
But living longer and avoiding the common cold may not be the only benefits of maintaining a positive outlook on life. According to psychologist and author of Spontaneous Optimism, Michael Mercer, PhD., optimistic people are more likely to be healthy, wealthy, and achieve career success. Many experts believe that having a positive attitude can be learned, and that even if you're negative now, an "optimism makeover" can be achieved!

Anxiety Disorders. When it’s more than just butterflies….
Everyone knows what it's like to feel anxious—the butterflies in your stomach before a big test or a first date, or the way your heart pounds if you're in danger. But if you have an anxiety disorder, this normally helpful emotion can do just the opposite—it can keep you from coping and can disrupt your daily life. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety disorders aren't just a case of "nerves." They are illnesses, often related to the biological makeup and life experiences of the person, and they frequently run in families. There are several types of anxiety disorders, each with their own distinct features. The following are descriptions of some of the most common types of anxiety disorders, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is a condition in which people feel constantly stressed. Patients with generalized anxiety have a tendency to worry and feelings of tension increase considerably under comparatively mild levels of pressure.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a condition in which distressing senseless thoughts intrude and patients cannot rid these thoughts from their minds. The thoughts are foreign and often repulsive. Most obsessive-compulsive persons also have compulsions. For example, they may need to check and recheck to see whether the stove is off or doors are closed.

Panic Disorder is a condition in which persons experience sudden, severe attacks of anxiety. Symptoms consist of heart palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, upset stomach and fear of dying or losing control. Some patients have such attacks occasionally, while others may have several attacks a day. Since the attacks are very frightening, many patients start to avoid situations in which the attacks have occurred, such as driving on an expressway or over bridges.
Agoraphobia is the term for such avoidance, which in severe cases can lead to being completely housebound.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a condition that occurs after a person has experienced unusual stress. A severe accident, robbery or rape can cause such stress. People with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder become very anxious whenever reminded of the incident that caused the initial distress. Frequently they have nightmares or become fearful, depressed and irritable and function less well at work or in social situations.

Social Phobias are unreasonable fears experienced in social situations. Some people become very tense when speaking in public, eating in a restaurant or asking someone for a date. Unlike Panic Disorder, in which panic attacks may occur out of the blue, Social Phobia is characterized by feelings of anxiety when people believe they are being observed or evaluated by others.
“Cosmeceuticals” revolutionize the science of skin care

Women around the world have been worrying about the effects of aging since the beginning of time. When Cleopatra bathed in fermented milk more than 2000 years ago she was enjoying the benefits of the milk’s lactic acid—which acted as a weak chemical peel to slough away layers of dead skin! The Queen of the Nile’s homemade “acid bath” was an ancient precursor to some skin treatments being performed in spas around the world today. Hydroxy acids, chemical peels, tretinoin, fruit acid extracts, shock proteins, esters, seaweed wraps and antioxidants are all treatments that are available today for combating those pesky free radicals that destroy our healthy cells and cause our skin to age. These free radicals are the result of exposure to sunlight, cigarette smoke, food, and other environmental elements that every one of us is exposed to on a regular basis. With so many confusing products and treatments available that promise so much, how can we be expected to sort through all of the hype and purchase only those that will really and truly deliver more healthy and younger-looking skin?

The key is finding a product with solid scientific research to back it up. One of the latest buzzwords in the cosmetics and skin care industry is “cosmeceutical.” Have you heard about these “cosmeceuticals” and wondered what exactly sets them apart from the dozens of other products on the market? The definition of this term can be found by breaking it down into its root words: cosmetics + pharmaceuticals. These products are stronger than cosmetics, but not so powerful that the Federal Food and Drug Administration needs to regulate them like drugs. What this means to you and me is that we now have over-the-counter access to skin care products that pack a whole lot more punch than the traditional cleansers and creams! In order for a product to effectively combat those nasty free radicals and the wrinkles they encourage, a product must be able to penetrate deeply into the epidermis. The development of such products requires high-tech skin research conducted by dedicated scientists.

Mineral Makeup FAQ
Mineral Makeup FAQ
Mineral makeup is makeup which is crafted from powdered minerals and iron oxides. Its historical roots are ancient, as women (and men) have been putting “colored earth” on their skin since the beginning of time.
Why mineral makeup?
One big advantage of mineral makeup is that it is a completely natural and effective sun block due to its use of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. Mineral Makeup also avoids the use of Talc, a common product in most makeup which has been shown to be a carcinogen. Other advantages include: it has very good and lightweight coverage; it is water-resistant, non-comedogenic, and oil-free. Our makeup contains no paraben (a common ingredient in other makeups that has been linked to breast cancer). It is also very easy and fast to apply, and very forgiving. Please note that all of our mineral makeup products are made in the USA and never tested on animals.
What are loose mineral cosmetics?
Loose mineral cosmetics are comprised of naturally occurring minerals that have been used for cosmetic purposes for thousands of years. (Cleopatra used crushed mica as her body shimmer). These minerals are mined from around the world, purified, and crushed into fine powders. If this all sounds exotic, cosmetic companies use these same minerals to add color, texture and luster to everything from eyeshadow, and lipstick, to hair color. They're even in your tube of toothpaste! Many of these minerals have a special luster that, when applied to the skin, give the face a lovely glow, lending a healthy, youthful appearance to blemished or aged skin.
Why loose?
Loose mineral cosmetics are catching on in popularity for a very good reason. It is the most natural makeup available on the market. Just think about how your face feels when you apply a liquid foundation. In order to create a liquid foundation, manufacturers add water, oil, waxes, petrochemicals, synthetic humectants, gums, and fillers (like talc) to the mineral colorants. They also add dyes and preservatives. Our loose, dry minerals don't require preservatives, and all of those other irritating ingredients are completely unnecessary. The natural pigments blend easily on the skin and provide superior coverage due to the lack of cheap fillers.
Why don't the popular makeup lines sell mineral cosmetics?
Large cosmetics companies are corporations that are designed to generate profit. Your skin's health is not their concern. Natural minerals cost much more than cheap synthetic fillers and dyes. The bottom line of these corporations is profit. Ours is quality, purity and performance. Our vision is to provide natural cosmetic products that will enable women to achieve the look that they want without chemicals.
Will my skin break out?
If you have sensitive skin, and have had bad experiences with cosmetics in the past, then natural mineral makeup is for you. While even a good quality natural cosmetic does not carry a guarantee, the likelihood of a reaction is rare. The most irritating ingredients in cosmetics are talc, dye, and perfume. Our products are free of all of these ingredients.
What about a sunscreen?
One of the main ingredients in our loose mineral foundation is micronized Titanium Dioxide. This naturally occurring mineral effectively blocks both UVA and UVB rays, without an irritating chemical sunscreen. Our products have a very high SPF and we recommend wearing a sunscreen of some form on your face every day. Melanoma is on the rise and can be fatal. Also, if you notice tiny lines on your face, these symptoms of aging come primarily from sun-damage, not from dryness.
Can I use Sheer Miracle mineral cosmetics if I have acne?
Our mineral foundation has the best coverage of any cosmetic on the market. Using Sheer Miracle mineral foundation will transform your life. Instead of worrying about unattractive blemishes, or running to the mirror every few hours to do touchups, with just a quick brush of the powder, your face will appear completely unblemished, from morning until night.
Even more importantly, the health and condition of your skin will actually improve with regular use of our mineral foundation. The minerals not only soothe inflamed skin, but have superior oil control. Our foundation is virtually waterproof and wearproof.
Do I have to choose a shade that matches my skin tone exactly?
Sheer Miracle specializes in producing natural- looking foundation shades, because all of our formulations are created on real women. Because we are constantly working hands-on with women of all complexions, our line complements the many different undertones that our customers represent. Mineral makeup is very forgiving. Unlike liquid makeup that can leave an unattractive "mask" line at the jaw and hair lines, mineral makeup blends flawlessly so one shade will work for several different skin tones.
Are Sheer Miracle mineral cometics affordable?
Compare the cost of one of our multi-purpose powders to even a cheap eyeshadow, and the value will immediately be apparent. Our loose mineral powders can be used as eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipgloss, blush and nail polish. If you use them every day, they will last you at least a year. Just one eyeshadow at a department store costs three times more than a our mineral powder. Our mineral foundation lasts up to six months and acts as concealer, powder and sunscreen, all in one. Compare our cost to similar makeup lines and you will notice a savings of almost 50%. Our mission at Sheer Miracle is to provide premium skin care products at no frills prices almost everyone can afford.
Why no bismuth oxychloride like the big name mineral makeup brands?
Bismuth oxychloride can accentuate pores, making them look bigger as opposed to concealing them. It is also responsible for that overy shiny look other big name mineral makeups can produce. Finally, bismuth oxychloride causes irritation, itching, rash and/or breakouts in some women. For these reasons, you will never find bismuth oxychloride on the list of ingredients in any of our products.
Will your loose mineral makeup dry my skin out since its a powder?
Mineral makeup powder is a world apart from other non-mineral powdered makeups. Most non-mineral powders are so drying because they use talc as a main ingredient. Not only does talc dry the skin out, it is also under suspicion as a carcinogen (cancer causing agent). Sheer Miracle does not use talc. Our powdered makeup actually helps trap moisture in the skin.
Can Sheer Miracle mineral makeup be used on wrinkles and mature skin?
Absolutely! In fact, Sheer Miracle mineral makeup refracts light which minimizes the appearance of fine lines and other imperfections. You should always moisturize before applying your mineral makeup. We suggest our Miracle Repairing Oil. Wait about 5 minutes for your moisturizer to absorb before applying our mineral makeup.
Can Sheer Miracle mineral makeup be used on Rosacea or post-laser treated skin?
Sheer Miracle mineral makeup is the best type of makeup to use if you have rosacea, ruddy red skin or post-laser treated skin. Our mineral makeup contains no irritants and contains zinc oxide which is a natural anti-inflammatory and very healing. For rosacea or post laser treatment skin, try Claire, Sandra or Tan Girl which all have yellow undertones that help neutralize red skin.
I'm not sure what shade to order. Can you help me?
If you are unsure of your color choice, we strongly suggest ordering samples of a couple different shades before committing to the full size product. We also offer full sampler sets that include 2 foundation shades, 2 blush shades and our finishing powder. Most of our foundation shades have a yellow undertone (Light Warm, Medium Light Neutral, Medium Tan, Medium Dark Warm and Dark Warm). We do carry a pink undertoned foundation in the light to medium range called Light Cool. Many Caucasian women believe that they need a pink undertoned foundation but the opposite is often true. Most women actually look better with a warm/yellow undertone because it tones down redness and imperfections in their skin. Reddish skin becomes beautifully minimized with a warm color.
Make sure that you test our foundation shades on your face, not your arm or hand. Your arm or hand will not give you an accurate picture of how the foundation shade will actually look on your face.
Are the colors depicted on your web site true to the actual shades of makeup?
A challenge we face by offering mineral makeup online is that, while our photographers and graphic designers strive to achieve a true-color match, colors displayed on the website can never be identical to the shade and hue of the actual makeup. This is due to both lighting and variances in computer displays. You should know that even looking at the colors in person will not give a totally accurate representation. Our colors come alive when applied to skin. The splendor of our colors cannot be seen by simply looking at the powder in the jar.
When I reordered my foundation, the color was just slightly different than then first time I ordered. Did you change your formula?
No. We consistently use the same formula for each shade. Because all of our makeup is hand crafted and custom blended, even though we use the exact same formula every time we mix a shade, colors may vary ever so slightly. There should not be a major difference in color from order to order however. For example, if you find your shade is two shades darker or extremely pink as opposed to the yellow undertones you are used to, you may have received the wrong foundation shade. Simply email us and we will see what we can do about replace your foundation with the correct shade immediately. Although we strive for excellence in every aspect of our business, mistakes do occassionally happen in order processing. Not to worry, we are happy to correct any error.
Q1 Why should I avoid synthetic fragrances and colorants when choosing skin care products?

A1 Artificial colorants and synthetic fragrance can irritate the skin. This type of irritation is referred to as "irritant contact dermatitis," a simple irritation that develops in response to a substance applied to the skin. Irritant contact dermatitis can cause redness, itching, rashes or worse. It's best to avoid products that list "fragrance" on the ingredient listing or contain colorants, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you are not sure about the ingredients in a product, ask before you buy. The EnhanceMe skin care line contains no added colors or fragrances, and will not irritate even the most sensitive skin.

Q2 Does stress really affect the condition of my skin?

A2 YES! Many experts agree that stress is one of the biggest causes of premature lines and wrinkles. That's why it's important to maintain a user-friendly skin care regimen that includes soothing products with natural ingredients that will help you to de-stress, and to make time for regular visits to your skin care center or esthetician for face and body treatments.

Q3 What can I do to treat the annoying breakouts I occasionally get on my face?

A3 Breakouts on the face can be caused by a number of different factors. The most common cause in women especially is hormonal imbalance, which will cause the skin to react by breaking out along the jaw line. This usually happens around the time of a woman’s menstrual cycle or in times of stress. The best thing to do is to apply an oil-free product that contains Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid to the areas that are affected. Apply it directly over the breakout, and you will see that the area will heal and dry within two to three days of use. Several EnhanceMe skin care products are especially formulated for oily and/or acne prone skin. Foam Here to Eternity (cleanser) The Twilight Tone (toner), and Bringin in the Rain (oil-free moisturizer) are all ideal for helping to clear up acne prone skin.

Q4 What can I do to treat the fine lines and wrinkles on my face without irritating my skin with harsh ingredients?

A4 Fine lines and wrinkles on the face are caused when the support structures of the skin begin to break down. This usually begins to happen in the early thirties and is caused primarily by damage from ultra violet rays. The EnhanceMe skin care line is formulated with bioactive ingredients that aggressively combat the signs of aging without irritating your delicate facial skin. C-Cret Agent, one of EnhanceMe’s most popular treatment products, is highly effective in combating the free radicals that cause fine lines and wrinkles. Madam X’ serum is another powerful combatant against the signs of aging. This mega-dose A & E serum helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and evens out the skin tone. Remember, irritating the skin and overusing any kind of anti-aging product can actually cause your skin to look older! A product does not have to burn or sting to mean it’s working!

Q5 How does exfoliation affect the aging process?

A5 The skin renews itself completely about every 20 days between the ages of 15 and 25 years. As you enter your thirties, the renewal rate begins to slow significantly, increasing to about 28 days to complete a full cycle. This results in thicker, duller-looking skin. During this time, the sebaceous, or oil-producing, glands also become less active, making the skin slightly drier.

While no skin care product will stop this natural process, a good exfoliant can significantly improve your skin’s overall tone, texture, and appearance. A Peel of Dreams is a two-part Microdermabrasion System that gently resurfaces and polishes away fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin soft, smooth, and supple. Results can be seen after only one use, but will be much more dramatic if used 2-3 times a week. A Peel of Dreams is formulated with Vitamin C crystals that remove dead skin cells, revealing clearer pores and a radiant complexion A Peel of Dreams also helps erase sun damage and hyper-pigmentation, and reduces large pores and acne scars. Once the skin is properly exfoliated, any treatment product you apply to the skin will also be absorbed much easier into the skin, therefore making it more effective.

Miracle Peel Cloth FAQ

Miracle Peel Cloth FAQ
What is microfiber?
Microfibers are tiny fibers that have been slit into hundreds of finer fibers that are no thicker than one hundredth of a human hair. The special slitting process produces an ultra-fine fiber with wedge shape filaments and a core of nylon. The wedge shape, the nylon core, and the smaller size fiber are the key to the fibers' effectiveness. When these tiny fibers are woven together into a cloth through a unique weaving method the result is a powerful cleaning tool. Each cloth consists of tens of thousands of tiny storage compartments that lift the dirt up out of the pores, trap the waste and leave a clean surface. The nylon core within the microfiber form tiny cutting edges that break up surface dirt and easily absorb and remove oils and dead skin cells. The only cleanser you need is water!
How do I Use My Microdermabrasion Cloth?
First wash face thoroughly with an antibacterial soap and warm water. Then pat dry.
Wet your microdermabrasion cloth with warm water then ring it out so it is damp but not soaking wet. Then gently scrub face in circular motions beginning at the middle of the face and working your way out. Treatment should last no longer than 90 seconds for the entire face. Do not scrub too hard or scrub too vigorously on one area. Discontinue use if a rash appears.
Between treatments, remember to use plenty of sunscreen when going outdoors. Do not use the cloth in conjunction with any ongoing chemical peel process or an aluminum oxide crystal regime. After treatment with the Microdermabrasion Cloth, dry your face with a clean soft towel. Do not apply any alcohol-based astringents, but you may pat your face down with a cotton puff that contains Witch Hazel, a similar mild astringent or aloe vera gel. We recommend using our Miracle Repairing Oil after each treatment.
When Will I See Results?
Miracle Peel Cloth treatments should be performed every 7 to 10 days. Results will be experienced and seen after 3 or 4 treatments, but your face will go slightly pink for 24 hours after the first treatment. This is normal and bolsters the production of collagen and elastin - making your skin firmer and smoother. Some people may experience slight flaking or peeling of the skin in the several days following treatment. This is normal and means the treatment is working! Flaking and peeling should minimize or stop completely with subsequent treatments.
Since all individuals are different, results will vary.
How do I Clean My Microdermabrasion Cloth?
Your cloth can be washed by rinsing in warm water with a dab of laundry soap or wash in the washing machine with your delicates - hang dry. Never iron or use fabric softener. Machine drying is not recommended.
Your Microdermabrasion Cloth should last up to a full year if cared for properly. For best results, replace your cloth every 9 to 12 months.
Are there side effects?
Slight pinkness may occur due to the abrasive nature of the microfiber, but this is dependent on your type of skin and its sensitivity. Some people will experience slight flaking or peeling of the skin in the several days after treatment. This is normal and means the process is working! Flaking and peeling should minimize with subsequent treatments as your new, healthy skin emerges.
When should I not use the cloth?
You should never disregard medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read here. If you suffer from any systemic disease or dermatological disorder that affects your skin please advise your doctor before use. You should also avoid using the cloth if you are sunburned; have active herpes simplex, open cuts or sores, are currently on a medication (included but not limited to Accutane) or have recently had facial surgery.
Can I use it for other parts of my body other besides my face?
Our Microdermabrasion Cloth can be used on your whole body, including back and chest acne, dry, sun damaged skin on arms, legs, etc. (do not use on sensitive areas such as genital and eye areas) with the same rejuvenating and skin clarifying effects.
Is it safe?
Yes. Used as directed, Our Miracle Peel Microdermabrasion Cloth is gentle and will not irritate your face as other chemical exfoliates might. It is recommended that only light pressure be used in order to prevent irritation. Also avoid using the cloth around the eye area.
Our Miracle Peel Microdermabrasion Cloth can be used to treat acne and other skin problems during pregnancy since no dangerous chemicals are involved, unlike glycolic acid or salicylic acid clinical peels which are not recommended during pregnancy.
What can the Miracle Peel Microdermabrasion Cloth improve?
Our Miracle Peel Microdermabrasion Cloth revitalizes skin, encourages new skin health and new skin growth, which can minimize or eliminate acne, acne scars, fine lines, fade age spots and give an overall appearance of healthy "glowing" skin.

How do I apply blush?
A sweep of color on the cheeks will enhance your features, and give you a younger, fresher, prettier look. The trick has always been where and how to actually apply it. Here are a few tips from our beauty experts:

First, invest in a proper brush.

Don't use blush to create instant cheekbones. The most flattering way to wear blush naturally is to apply it to the "apple" of the cheeks. Locate yours by drawing an imaginary line, down from your pupil, to the center of your cheek. Then lightly blend outwards, towards the top of the ear, covering the entire cheekbone area with soft, sweeping strokes. Try applying blush while you are smiling. Add a little blush to the ball of your cheek and bring it back a little towards the bone.

You want to look like the noon sun has hit you on - not under - your cheekbones. Blush is the one piece of makeup that you'll never have to change. Stick with a blush that adds the right healthy glow and change the color of your eyes and lips.

What color blush is right for me?
FAIR-SKINNED women should look for beige, tawny-rose, and pink tones.
OLIVE/YELLOW-TONED SKINS will find warm-toned browns, plums, and roses most flattering.
DARK-SKINNED women can use rich plum, fuchsia, brick, and bronze shades.
REDHEADS/STAWBERRY BLONDES look best in light bronze, peach and coral shades.

Bronzing powders can be substituted for blush in the summer. They are also great dusted around the hairline, on the nose and chin, as well as across the cheekbones, to give you that sun-kissed look. Choose a bronze tone that is right for the depth of your skin. Not too dark or too orange if you are fair.

Should I use a powder or cream blush?
Powder blush versus cream, gel, or liquid:

POWDER BLUSH is easiest to control and blend. Because of it's mass popularity, you will also find the widest range of colors. Apply with a professional quality blush brush.
CREAM BLUSH is good for dry or sun damaged skin. It glides on smoothly and doesn't settle in wrinkles or lines, and provides a radiant glow of youth to the skin. Apply with fingertips or rounded sponge.
GEL and LIQUID BLUSH offer the sheerest form of color, and looks totally natural - even on bare skin.

Sometimes I don't have time to put on makeup before going to work or going out. I still want to look good, though. Is lipstick enough?
Foundation is the basis of makeup. It evens up the skin tone for a perfect complexion. After your moisturizer (Daily Results Moisturizing Lotion for example), apply foundation in small strokes over dark circles, spots and other little blemishes if any of course, then blend.

Is there a miracle method to get your makeup to hold up all day?
There is indeed a trick used by makeup professionals. Brush on a bit of powder after putting on your makeup to set for immaculate hold. During fashion shows, the models' makeup is sprayed with TONER 2 for guaranteed gorgeous results that truly last!

My nose is rather broad and a bit on the long side. How can I conceal this?
Here are four tricks for all there is to know about makeup:
Dark colours make things look smaller. So, use a slightly darker shade on the area you wish to downplay.
Light colours, on the other hand, make things look bigger.
Matte colours make things look flatter.
Shiny colours add volume. In your case, it's best to use a matte colour that's slightly darker than your skin tone on the tip of your nose and a light, slightly shiny colour on the bridge. And for the wings of your nose, use a dark, matte colour. For the darker shades there's BRONZING POWDER.
I have dark circles under my eyes from birth not fatigue. How can I conceal them?
Apply the lightest shade of SECRET WEAPON CONCEALER with your fingertips, just on your dark circles.

Can you advise me on a good under-eye concealer as well as on the best way to apply it?
The one I'm using at the moment is pretty good coverwise, but tends to settle into fine lines after a while. How can I make it stay put?
We highly recommend SECRET WEAPON CONCEALER. Blend and mix the 4 shades to find the colour that matches your skin tone (just a little lighter). Spread small quantities and even with small touches where needed.

I'd like to make my eyes stand out.
To bring out your eyes, opt for an eyeliner pencil or pen that's as close as possible to the colour of your iris. Blend with a pastel shade that matches your clothes. Mascara adds body to your lashes and makes your eyes look bigger.

My skin is very oily. It tends to look greasy and uneven and I often have acne. What should I do?
What you need to do is matify and conceal.
Use a high-coverage foundation specially formulated for oily skin. MOISTURE IN-CONTROL OIL FREE Foundation is great for evening out your complexion. Plus, it blocks out the shine. Next, for an amazingly soft matte finish, powder your face with PRESSED POWDER. Blush-wise, favour the more subtle effect of powder textures like POWDER BLUSH over the heavier creams.

How can I prevent my foundation from looking off?
More often than not, the problem is the colour. When you choose a foundation, make sure that the shade is as close as possible to your skin tone. Try it out on your neck, not on your hands. Remember that seasons are important. The foundation you buy in the middle of winter won't work in the summer when you've got a tan.

Does makeup cause blackheads?
Of course not. Juicy foundations only contain non-comedogenic ingredients. They're tested extensively to make sure that they meet this all too important requirement.

What exactly is skin?
The skin is a large organ that covers our body entirely. While it protects us from the outside world, it also puts us in contact with that world, especially by touch. Our skin has an average surface area of 1.7 m2, and weighs 3 kg.
Skin is comprised of 2 main layers:
THE DERMIS is the deep layer of the skin. Its average thickness is to 1 to 2 mm. It provides nutrition for the epidermis and is at the source of our perceptions as it contains the nervous system. Its cells produce the collagen and elastin fibres that provide resistance, firmness, suppleness and elasticity to the whole skin.
THE EPIDERMIS is the layer at the surface that is constantly being renewed. It reflects the condition of our skin. Its average thickness is 0.2 mm.Its main mission is to produce the horny layer made up of about 30 layers of dead cells. It's our essential barrier against external aggressions.

How do I know what type of skin I have?
Your skin is apparently problem-free - not sensitive to anything in particular but has a very slight shiny aspect and fine pores. YOU HAVE A NORMAL SKIN.

Your skin is irritable. It is very easily irritated and inflamed. If you push it gently with the fingertips, fine lines appear. It is relatively matt, with very fine, barely visible pores. YOU HAVE DRY SKIN.

Your skin shines. Your pores are dilated and sometimes spots and blackheads appear to ruin your life. YOU HAVE OILY SKIN.

I have sensitive skin. Can I use a scrub?
Yes, but don't overdo it. Once a week or even once every two weeks is enough. Use a scrub that is velvety-smooth and gentle at the same time.

Should I use the same moisturizer all year round?
Yes, if it really suits you. No, if you feel that at certain periods your skin feels uncomfortable. For instance, in winter, opt for a more replenishing treatment.

When's the best time of day to moisturize my body?
Preferably right after your shower or bath because water is chalky and tends to dry out your skin.

Can I really get dressed right after applying a moisturizing treatment?
Yes, absolutely, if you use an instant penetrating treatment. You can even put on your tights without waiting.

Is it serious if you don't remove your makeup?
Yes! Of course, it is not the end of the world if you go to bed one evening without taking your makeup off. But otherwise, makeup removal is as beneficial to your skin as brushing to your teeth! Actually, to be precise, we should talk about "makeup removal and cleansing". In fact, in the evening, makeup removal frees your skin not only of makeup but also of pollution, dust and impurities that have built up during the day. It is a bit like taking a mask off to find your face in all purity again. It dissolves stress, eliminates fatigue. Always start by cleansing your eyes before your face. In any case, never apply a beauty treatment without removing your makeup, morning or evening. It won't work at its full potential: your skin will be full of dust and impurities that have built up during the day.

What would happen if you didn't remove your makeup on a regular basis?
Your skin would gradually become dull. Your complexion would end up becoming dull and spots could begin to form.

Should you use a specific makeup remover for your eyes?
JUICY RINSE-OFF EYE MAKEUP SOLVENT: removes all sorts of makeup easily and gently including waterproof.

Is toner really necessary?
Yes. Because today's toners don't just remove the last traces of makeup remover. They also are treatments in their own right. Plus, they condition your skin and prime it for other skincare treatments.

If I don't put on any makeup in the morning, should I still use makeup remover at night?
Yes. Simply because your makeup remover isn't just for removing makeup. It also cleanses and purifies your skin.

Why do you have to use makeup remover in the morning?
In the morning, you're not really removing your makeup as such. You are, in fact, cleansing your skin, because even if you removed your makeup well the night before, secretions build up on your skin overnight.

Should you rinse lotion off?
Yes. To get rid of all the impurities it brings along with it. Ideally, you should rinse with a toner.

Do all types of skin need to be moisturized? Yes. It's sometimes good to remind ourselves that our body is made of 70 % water. It's a vital element. Even to our skin! Our skin is naturally moisturized. In ideal conditions, this natural moisturizing would be enough. But there's the wind, car and factory fumes, UV rays, the heat, the cold, air conditioning. In a world, there's life so inevitably, our precious water reserves are altered. The skin needs water. Otherwise, it shrinks, it becomes dull and wrinkled. This is how and why moisturizing creams have been invented.
And that's why, every day, you must provide your skin with a sufficient amount!
Moisturizing your skin is sensible and it will also:
- Increase radiance for smoother skin that's the picture of health
- Preserve its youthful appearance, for stronger, more resistant skin that fares better over the passing years.

What is the right Juicy moisturizing program for me?
When you are thirsty, you don't always drink the same thing as your best friend. So, as far as moisturizing is concerned, rather than having a set menu imposed on you, order "à la carte". And make your choice according to your tastes and the needs of your skin.

If I wear a moisturizing foundation, should I apply a moisturizing cream beforehand?
Yes. It's not that serious if you forget from time to time, as foundations are more and more beneficial. But the skin has needs that only a cream can satisfy deep down. In fact, by applying a daily cream and a moisturizing foundation, you maximize the effectiveness.

Am I moisturizing my skin when I spray on mineral water?
No. You refresh it instantly on the surface, which can be enjoyable in a heat wave. But generally speaking, a moisturizing treatment has the power to really moisturize the skin, for several hours.

What should I do when my complexion is dull, my pores are dilated and I get blackheads?
Apply DEEP CLEANSING MASK for a pure, clear complexion. In a just few minutes, pores are tightened, the complexion is radiant and the skin is supple and comfortable.

Use an exfoliating scrub for fresh, new skin. EXFOLIATING FACIAL SCRUB offers in-depth cleansing to really purify, smooth and soften the skin.

Do my eyes need a special treatment?
Yes! Look yourself straight in the eyes. What do you see? Ultra-delicate skin which looks like fine paper. So it's high time we started to look after it.
The skin around the eye is 5 to 10 times thinner than the skin on the rest of the face.
It is also irrigated because the blood and lymphatic vessels are thinner and fewer. And on the top of everything, we are using our eyes constantly, whether rubbing them, laughing or crying.
So not only is the skin here more delicate, but we spend our lives making it even more so.
As a result it is the first area to show signs of ageing. These appear not only as wrinkles and fine lines but also as puffiness and dark shadows that you have to treat properly.
So given these problems, we need to treat the eye area with special care.

Can I use my face treatment, which works very well for me, around the eyes?
Facial creams sometimes have stronger active ingredients that could irritate eyes. Only specifically designed eye contour treatment are recommended for this area.

If I am using two products, one for the face and the other for the eyes, which one should I apply first? It does not matter. As products are not meant to be used one top of the others, when using them, we find it easier to start by the eye care.

What should I do if the wrinkles around my eyes are very pronounced and my skin lacks firmness?
Try, FIRMING LIFT EYE GEL, a great anti-wrinkle and firmness treatment. It is powerful enough to enhance firmness and add tone to the skin around your eyes. Use this luxuriously soothing cream once a day and your wrinkles and fine lines will truly fade away.

I have oily skin and sometimes I get spots. What can I do?
Oily skin is not the end of the world. To help you to control your oily skin and imperfections, we have developed the Control range.

By applying a day cream every day, isn't here a risk that my skin will be even shinier?
No. Because now there are moisturising creams that reduce shine effectively. For ultra-light, fresh, completely oil-free moisturizing there's MOISTURE IN-CONTROL OIL-FREE LOTION.

My skin is very oily on the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) and dry on my cheeks. My skin is flaky and I have dry patches. What should I do?
Be careful, your skin is suffering. You should seek advice from a dermatologist.
In the meantime, opt for ultra-lightweight makeup.

Does Journal Writing Promotes Well Being and Speedy Healing

For many of us, keeping a journal is an intensely personal way to sort through our thoughts and feelings. Our environment and our society may keep our actions and spoken words in check, but writing in a journal is perhaps the most free form of expression that we have. A journal is a private forum in which we are able to express our thoughts and fears without worrying how others will react to them. Journaling helps us to clarify our innermost thoughts, and to reconcile them with our outer lives. It not only helps us to resolve traumas and stresses, it helps us to remember significant events and turning points in our lives. Journal writing is a form of expression that enables us to discover and define our values and purpose, our hopes and our dreams. When we think of journal writing, the benefits that most immediately come to mind are psychological. But did you know that journal writing is listed as a recommended method of healing in Prevention Magazine’s dictionary of healing modalities because of its ability to mobilize the body’s defenses against physical illness?
Journaling is one of the gentlest and safest forms of therapy available. It requires no expertise, no minimum time commitment, and no lost benefits if you miss a session. You don’t need special tools or abilities to get started, either. You can use any notebook or paper for your writing, and since journaling is for your own use, spelling, grammar, and handwriting should not be concerns. The purpose of writing in a journal is for you to get your thoughts and feelings down on paper—you’re not writing for a grade or for review by someone else! So grab a piece of paper and something to write with, and you’ll be on your way to enjoying the many benefits of journaling in a matter of minutes.
How do crystals form?
Our earth is 85% crystal. Planet Earth’s crust is made from mostly oxygen with a combination of many other elements such as; silicon, aluminum, iron, calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium. When these minerals come in contact at a specific time, temperature, place, and duration, a crystal will form.
Why to the stones have ‘healing powers’?
Just as crystals are formed from such minerals as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, etc. so are human beings. Each crystal is ever changing and vibrating at a given frequency based on its color, composition, age and situation. These vibrations and compositions can work with the body’s natural energies and minerals to balance them and help bring the mind, body & spirit into harmony.
Crystal healing has been around for thousands of years. It is written about in the Book of Exodus how
Hair Loss and DHT
What is DHT? If you are a person experiencing hair loss and looking for a hair loss product or treatment, chances are you must have come across the word dihydrotestosterone - DHT - which is one of many male hormones found in the body and is developmentally important early in a man's life. This hormone appears to be one of the main causes of male hair loss and shrinks the hair follicle until it no longer produces hair and is the key chemical which impacts onset of male pattern baldness - the main cause of male hair loss later in life. Female hair loss can be caused from a similar phenomenon, but the onset occurs much later in lfe.

DHT Hair Loss - the Genetic Factor
The genetic factor inherited from either parent coupled with other variables such as age, will signal the hair follicle to start producing an enzyme known as 5 alpha reductase. When this enzyme combines with the testosterone already present in the hair follicle, it produces dihydrostestosterone or DHT. When exposed, the genetically sensitive hair follicles shrink and weaken.
When this happens, the active hair follicles in specific areas exposed begin to get smaller and less active and continue to shrink slightly with each new growth cycle. Gradually, the hair shaft produces finer hair and eventually the hairs stop emerging, causing extensive accelerated hair loss.

Inhairit will block DHT on the scalp

By blocking the production of DHT, which causes the hair follicle to become small, weak and inactive, the hair follicle gets a new life through better blood circulation and proper nutrients. New and healthy hair emerges from follicle and the process of producing new and healthy hair continues. This is an important part of hair growth and treatment of thinning hair.

Products that act as inhibitors all work towards reducing loss, but topical hair loss solutions deal directly with the DHT in the scalp and skin, and therefore lower or eliminate overall levels on the scalp, reducing hair loss significantly. Topical Inhibitors allow for effective reduction on the scalp while remaining a much healthier alternative to ingested pills

Inhairit is a leading natural hair loss product in the market today with a success rate of over 80%. Inhairit is made from natural herbs found in the Himalayan Mountains and works by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase thus acting as an inhibitor and blocker. Inhairit is a hair loss solution that will work for you.

Hair Loss Product Comparsion
All the products reviewed and described below are well known products and have been rated in terms of the highest criteria - safety, effectiveness and price. These are the three most important elements used in product comparison.

Hair Loss Product Review:

Propecia

Propecia is the brand name of the drug finasteride, which is often sold as proscar. Produce by Merck and Company, Inc., Propecia is the first approved drug for slowing / reducing hair loss on the top and middle sections of the head and scalp. So far, it has not been effective in combating the thin hairline associated with male pattern baldness – the receding horseshoe effect.

Propecia works by blocking the enzyme 5 alpha reductase that lowers the levels of DHT in the body. This is the prime enzyme that is responsible for converting Testosterone to DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) Because DHT is responsible for attacking and reducing hair follicles in those that are genetically disposed, it is assumed that blocking the DHT levels will reduce hair loss.

Propecia can causes some rather negative side effects, including impotence in some users and erectile difficulty. As well, Propecia has shown to cause an increase of blackheads and oil on the skin of the face in some users. Propecia carries a risk of defects in babies and should never be taken by pregnant women. Once you start taking Propecia, you need to continue. Results, if seen, will happen after about month 3.

Rogaine / Minoxidil

Rogaine is a hair loss product designed by Pfizer, and is a popular non prescription hair loss product for promotion of hair re-growth. Rogaine has some effects, mostly created if the product enters the system through an open wound. One side effect of Rogaine is red, irritated and itchy skin at the area of application. If too much Rogaine is accidentally applied, it can cause systemic absorption leading to itching, rash, redness, and swelling. Rogaine use must be continued permanently, or hair loss will begin again. Like many prevention products on the market, Rogaine binds to the follicle causing a temporary protection against DHT.

Male users should detect hair regrowth within eight months, female users within 12 months.

Hair Replacements / Hair Systems

A hair replacement / hair system is also referred to as a non surgical hair system. This usually involves one of many methods of securing either synthetic or real hair to existing hairs on the scalp. In this fashion, new hair can cover areas of balding. The biggest knock on this type of hair loss replacement is that the systems usually do not look real enough. Non-surgical systems – wigs, toupees and the like, are mass produced, and usually tend to look fake and not like the recipient’s real hair, as everyone’s hairline and scalp are different.
